Diamant heat pumps
The heat pump principle
Because there was no off-the-shelf product available for winter gardens in the area of heating and air conditioning, the Diamant family decided to seek out and market an appropriate product.
They developed a solution for winter gardens that solves the problem of providing ecologically valuable heat as well as cooling in summer with a single device.
After intensive research and discussions with technicians from the heating and air-conditioning sector, only an air/air heat pump seemed to present an appropriate solution. The additional desire for air purification is understandable, considering that around 30% of the German population is allergic. Dehumidification was also something often requested by owners of winter gardens, particularly those with drip stones.
DIAMANT heat pumps function according to the same physical principle as freezers, however, in the opposite way: Heat is extracted from the external surroundings. In place of the cooling coils behind the freezer is the inner equipment of the heat pump. Heat extracted from the exterior is released here.
Heat is extracted from the external in a vaporizer at low temperature, whereby the cooling agent vaporizes. The working fluid then condenses with low electrical energy at a higher pressure.
The environmental heat is applied to the working fluid in the VAPORIZER. In the process, the state of the aggregate changes from fluid to gas form.
The gaseous agent is powerfully compressed in the COMPRESSER and thus brought to a level useful for heating purposes. The low amount of energy is needed to drive the condenser.
The heat energy from the working agent is released directly in the air in the LIQUIFIER. It again becomes fluid.
The working agent is then decompressed and thereby powerfully cooled in the RELEASE VENT. The medium is reintroduced to the vaporizer and the cycle begins anew.
